1 - Install remote control app of your choice from playstore
2 - enable vlc http remote in
tools > preference
select "show settings" All
Interface > Main interface > check Web and Remote control interface (should say "http:oldrc" below, not sure if u need the oldrc or not..)
3 - add your network / ip to
/usr/share/vlc/lua/http/.hosts
