lxqt menu customization

create a <file>.desktop in ~/.local/share/applications/

example .desktop file

[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Name=my example app
Comment=hahaha
Exec=/usr/bin/myapp
Icon=23AC_misc.17.png
Categories=Application;

the Icon exists in a subdirectory of ~/.local/share/icons/

i am not sure how the Categories work, this shortcut shows up under "Other"
