xenserver Serial Console Access

Problem

Failing to receive serial console output from XenServer 6.2.

The server hardware was a supermicro board. I could see post an bios messages. I could see syslinus messages. The last thing I could see was...

I verified my bios serial port settings...

* Sredir Memory Display Delay    [No Delay]

checked /boot/extlinux.conf, the settings for the xe-serial were consistent with my hardware settings

Edit /boot/extlinux.conf

change line 3 from 

default xe

to
